Most people liken him to the Emperor in Star Wars and I believe thatвЂ™s a good comparison. HeвЂ™s always this dark, shadowy, evil figure. We donвЂ™t see him in the books for a long time. Brom is a grizzled old man with a dark history that weighs on him вЂ“ he should be less like a young hero figure and more like the battle-worn Bowen from the Dragonheart films. This is another place where the Eragon movie failed. WHY FEATHERS.ДЄs far as casting goes, even if the actors donвЂ™t look perfect to their characters, itвЂ™s important that they fill their tropes and personalities well. Okay definitely used that GIF because FEATHERS. ItвЂ™s important to get that right in the film. Where Paolini failed in the characters and plot, he succeeded in the setting. This is no small feat for a seasoned writer, let alone a fifteen-year-old kid. Paolini created this beautiful world and established the rules of magic very well.

Epic fantasy worlds arenвЂ™t easy to create, and in order to capture a readerвЂ™s attention for a series with as many pages as The Inheritance Cycle, your setting needs to be spot-on. What should the film look like?Д®ragonВ presents a beautiful fantasy world. It makes me want to cry a little in how rough and wrong it is. Also, itвЂ™s sort of hard to tell because of the image quality, but SaphiraвЂ™s scales look like feathers. You can see that BromвЂ™s role has been changed, that Galbatorix isnвЂ™t even scary. I watched half the trailer and couldnвЂ™t finish.ДЄ quick glance through this trailer, and you can see that ALL of the casting is WAY OFF from the book. The catch is, it would have to be done right. MOVIES.ДЄm I the only one that thinks we need more dragons? Since The Inheritance Cycle is four books long, we could get FIVE movies out of this deal if we play our cards right. While we love Toothless and Hiccup, we need more. IВ think we can we all agree that this is a gripping story about a boy and his dragon. The series is fast-paced, interesting, and fun. ItвЂ™s not often that a book-to-film adaptation is so bad NOBODY wants to watch it, and I believe Eragon falls into that category. How many of you have seen the Eragon movie? It was embarrassing.В Truly horrible. Eragon needs to be rebooted into a PROPER movie.
